It will soon be twenty years since Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites founded The Lumineers in their home state of Colorado. Since then, they've released four full-length albums, their singles have racked up billions of streaming streams, and they've been invited to collaborate with names like singer P!nk and British singer-songwriter James Bay.
Experiencing the American band The Lumineers live is always a feast - powerful melodies, heartfelt delivery and an impressive history that includes Grammy nominations, a White House performance, a song for the Hunger Games movie franchise and collaborative shows with U2 and Tom Petty. "They're incredible live," wrote Headliner magazine after a recent Prague concert. This is the kind of music you can listen to at a party by the water, or by romantic candlelight in the quiet of your home.
Twelve years have passed since their breakthrough with their debut album, dominated by the single Ho Hey. In the meantime, the band, which used to play in small clubs, has become a global phenomenon, with its latest tour attracting more than a million people in nearly thirty countries across six continents. What's so magical about their live shows is now proven on Live from Wrigley Field, where the Lumineers confirm that live they can add yet another dimension to their already magical songs. And no small part of that is down to the audience, who they can draw in like no other.
